New Keyland & Conroy Brook Development Secures Planning Permission

Second joint project since Conroy Brook’s appointment under the Small Sites Initiative scheme.

October 2014 - Holmfirth-based housebuilder Conroy Brook and Keyland Developments, the property trading arm of Kelda Group and sister company to Yorkshire Water, have secured planning permission from Barnsley Metropolitan Council for its second joint project since Conroy Brook’s appointment under Keyland’s Small Sites Initiative Joint Venture.

The new SummerFord development at Ingbirchworth

The development at Wellthorne Lane, Ingbirchworth, will comprise 13 four and five bedroom detached natural stone homes with associated car parking and landscaping. All homes will be built in traditional Yorkshire stone to Conroy Brook’s usual exceptional quality, specification and finish.

The development is well located strategically between Huddersfield, Barnsley and Sheffield with good access to the M1. The rural setting offers beautiful views of open countryside and access to local village amenities, and is within walking distance of Ingbirchworth Reservoir.

The Conroy Brook team are anticipating construction on the properties will commence next year, with first completions towards the end of 2015.

Keyland Developments appointed Conroy Brook to be its preferred partner under its Small Sites Initiative (SSI) in 2013. The SSI involves the redevelopment and regeneration of surplus and redundant Yorkshire Water sites to bring them back into beneficial use for business and community.

The joint venture between the two companies is already delivering results with the first scheme in Sheffield, Forge View, well underway, with the showhome launched on 12 September.
