As all these developments of are situated in the grounds of the Holme Valley Memorial Hospital, the service will also provide easier access to the hospital and the Oaklands and Elmwood Health Centres.
Managing director Ivan Conroy said: “Providing a transport facility to the residents of Holme Valley Court was always a top priority for us, as it is an essential part of their lives, so we’re delighted that our substantial contribution will help to fund the service until at least the end of January 2009.”
The half hourly service will run in either direction between Thongsbridge and Holmfirth, taking in New Mill, Jackson Bridge and Scholes.
All residents of Holme Valley Court and White Rose House will receive a new timetable leaflet, and full details can also be found in the Bus Travel section of Metro’s web site at www.wymetro.com and from Bus Station Travel Centres and other outlets.
