Conroy Brook to Build Specialist Care Unit for Hollybank Trust
Hollybank is a charity with a national reputation for excellence; a unique and effective organisation, working with some of society's most vulnerable members – children and adults with complex physical disabilities. They specialise in caring for and developing these individuals through a combination of specialist schools, children’s homes and independent housing.
Conroy Brook designed the three storey unit – which will comprise one 5 bedroom apartment on each floor – in close conjunction with Hollybank to meet the Trust’s specific requirements, and all the relevant legislation regarding the young people’s needs.
In addition the accommodation will provide a pleasant and comfortable environment to nurture and support its residents, whilst being in keeping with neighbouring buildings and the local landscape.
“Conroy Brook is a company with a reputation for craftsmanship and high quality standards, and we’re delighted to be in partnership with them on this project,” says Hollybank’s Head of Property & Development Chris Coleby. “We have every confidence that they can deliver the unit at Holme Valley to us in the form required, and within what is a very short time frame, enabling us to provide safe, secure and pleasant accommodation for our young people.”
Director of Conroy Brook, Richard Conroy, commented: “We are very pleased to be working with Hollybank on such a worthwhile project. Our aim is to provide a modern, purpose-built facility with the very highest quality that will further facilitate the excellent work of the Hollybank Trust.”
