Huddersfield Builder Scoops Top Industry Award
FMB
Conroy Brook beat hundreds of other firms to claim the Yorkshire and Trent’s prize, and will now go through to compete in the national Master Builder of the Year Awards. The winners of the national Awards will be announced by the presenter of C4 Grand Designs Trade Secrets, Naomi Cleaver, at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London, on Thursday November 13th 2008.
Richard Conroy, director of Conroy Brook, commented: “We’re delighted to receive such a prestigious award as it confirms that we are producing homes to the highest standards.”
Ron Wilson, director of FMB Yorkshire & Trent said: “The Master Builder of the Year Awards give customers a chance to thank their builder for a job well done. There are plenty of great builders out there, but all too often we only hear of stories where things have gone wrong. The reality is that the majority of builders are hardworking, friendly and extremely skilled craftspeople, so we want to reward these companies and prove that building work in Yorkshire and Trent surpasses the rest.
“Conroy Brook has done a fantastic job to win the Yorkshire and Trent award and we wish them well in the national competition.”
Holme Valley Court is a retired living complex of 44 one and two bed apartments set in the scenic grounds of the Holme Valley Memorial Hospital, just a short distance from the centre of picturesque Holmfirth. Since its opening in April, 50% of purchasers have moved in; 30% have reserved; with just a handful of apartments now remaining.
It features landscaped gardens with walkways, seating, artwork and a specially commissioned water feature situated at the entrance to the building. Each apartment is fully equipped with a Tunstall emergency alarm call system and video phone door entry, whilst the complex itself has full building CCTV, intruder alarms throughout and has been designed for maximum comfort and security.
The highest quality fixtures, fittings, sanitaryware and kitchen appliances have been fitted in each of these apartments, from underfloor heating in the bathroom to granite work surfaces and fully-integrated Smeg appliances in the kitchen including dish washer, washer/dryer and fridge freezer.
